One of my high school bullies tried to humiliate me in front of everyone be shouting about how I didn't have a designer label schoolbag and I'd dared to slightly touch hers with my "shitty" bag as I was setting it on the floor in the general proximity of hers.

So absolutely I can believe there will be clothing brand stans out there somewhere.

It was a very long time ago but I once had someone tell me with no irony that they liked to judge people according to what they wear. They said they were wearing a Lacoste shirt and Lacoste shorts (at the time a fairly nice brand.) I told them that the clothes I was wearing came from K-mart (also true) and it was like they did not know what to say about that. I'm not sure they even believed me.
