I'm really curious what you think it implies.

nayrt, but it does seem to imply that the higher the "male" hormone, the higher the sex drive, and the lower the emotional drive. which i could see being an uncomfortable thought.

Gay men don't seem to have a problem with it LOL.

Not exactly. A sudden increase in testosterone does (typically, because human biology is complicated) result in a significantly higher sex drive, and can result in shifting priority from emotion to sex. The effects aren't permanent, however - once hormone levels settle out and the person acclimates to the higher baseline testosterone level, the sex drive usually revs back down (though it may remain higher than the previous pre-testosterone jump level) and prioritization can reconfigure because the brain and body are no longer blaring alarm klaxons at the hormonal changes.

trans anon in question and...thank you. this put my mind greatly at ease. I was probably overthinking it anyway but this makes a lot of sense. much appreciated.

Anon, I am not a doctor or a trans person but I do know a number of AFAB folks who take hormones and everything (mood, aggression, sex drive) seemed to even out after a bit on it. You'll be okay! Good luck!

I mean, that happens for anyone taking hormones (or suffering from a sudden loss of them). Hormones fuck your brain and body up until everything gets back in sync.

You're welcome, anon. Glad I could help a little.

You are basically having a second puberty! I think in that context it's pretty normal to have a surge of interest in sex for it's own sake, but like others have said, it's not The Permanent New You.

This. Hormones are so fucked. I mean - women with a period, pregnant, or in menopause - stuff is *messed up*.
