Really. Everything is sodden, my clothes all feel damp (they're not, it's just chilly and humid), and i found rain coming in the *top* of my window frame (up by the ceiling) last night when it was pouring down outside. I wonder now if any of my *other* windows are not sealed like that should be.
ARGH.

All the roads are flooded. There is only one road through and out of town. They closed the highway so they had to direct all of that traffic through town. They had semis backed up for half an hour. It is going to start raining again soon, which will close the one bridge out of town when the river goes over it. We will fall into anarchy. I am ready for Mad Max.

Oh, jayzus. We had floods and wind, hail, and tornadoes all last week, now this week, more floods, more 'heavy' rain, tons of lightning.... It's crazy.

I'm glad snowpacks are up way past the 100 percent mark and all, but...can we dry out a little now, please?

I've been hearing about all the bad weather the southern U.S. has been getting lately, yeah. Texas in particular has seemed to have a really rough time of it these last couple weeks.

Texas this week, a month ago, North Dakota. It's a mess out here. Missouri has a *lot* of rivers, so...we are flash-flood, low-water-crossing-underwater central.

Yeah, I guess the town over had a tornado. I am actually surprised our sirens didn't go off.

Yeesh! No fun.

We don't have sirens any more - i guess they think everyone will have a phone or radio alert.

Mad Max is very dry though. I think your apocalypse movie of reference should be Water World, a Kevin Costner classic.

It's raining here in Iowa right now, too. And it's cold. Supposed to get into the mid 30s tonight-if the temperature were to dip just a few degrees more, that rain could turn to snow/ice.

We're only going down to the forties. Fuck snow and ice, jayzus. Stay warm!

Haha, well, we're not actually expecting to get any snow or ice, so there's that. Just noting that it's cold enough to where I wouldn't be surprised if we did get a few snow flurries or something.

But then again, we did get snow the last weekend of April here, and while snow in May is exceedingly rare, it has happened before, so... Honestly, this whole spring has felt a lot more like fall thus far to me. It's been so cool and rainy/snowy for much of it. I'm personally not complaining, as I like this kind of weather, but I know a lot of people here are sick of this weather and eager for long stretches of warmth and sun :p.

Ugh, coming in the TOP of your window somehow seems worse than any other way it could be leaking in. Maybe because it's not as easy to spot/fix.

They tore up the road right outside my apartment building earlier this week, and it's a literal moat right now. Like, I parked on the street a few blocks over because I didn't think I could get my car through the water. It's nasty.

I was so boggled, and running around grabbing towels and stuff but - you can't put a towel up there and have it *stay*!!

Ack! What a fucking mess. All this rain will just make them take *longer*, I'll bet. Yeesh.

Send the rain my way, please. We’ve been having dark grey overcast with wind and occasional drizzle for a couple weeks, and since I live in droughtland, I’d prefer actual rain. Sorry about your leaky window; I hope it’s the only one.

I think we got it (mostly) fixed, but i'm paranoid the wood inside/behind the frame is soaked and rotting as we type, and will never dry out 'cause it's...inside.
