The March For Life is not a pro choice organization and voting Democrat does not mean that you're pro choice

DA

His pro-life tweet was old and was posted in support of his then-girlfriend who was talking about her experiences. Do I think he's changed his stance on women's rights to their own bodies? His recent response to the backlash implies he hasn't, but if he's not using his voice to advocate against reproductive rights and is using it instead to support black people, I don't think he's a complete waste of internet space.

Honestly, that's fair, and I do agree that the person in the secret was being out of pocket. I think people are giving him too much credit wrt actually meaningfully changing his views, though - I mean, someone characterizing him as pro-choice is just... absolutely wild.

Saying voting Democrat doesn't mean you're pro-choice is the same as saying voting Republican doesn't mean you're anti-choice. Yes, it does mean that. If you're okay with voting for people who are going to support certain policies, you are pro those policies through the act of voting, which holds far more water than what you say you believe personally.

As someone who votes for Democrats, I'm deeply opposed to the idea that I endorse or support everything the Democrats do. And I think the only logical conclusion that you can take from that argument, if you take it seriously, is complete quietism and non-participation.
