Yeah, theophobia is extremely uncool and we need to start taking all the progress points from people who push that crap. I will criticize specific religious practices and beliefs all day long but not a person for having a religion or non-religion. The minute you start hating on someone for having a religious faith, you lose your right to speak. Same thing with hatred of race, gender, sexuality, or class.

When religion stops being homophobic and misogynistic you can defend religion. The harder someone goes off about their religion the more likely they hold the hard line fundamentalist views.
