SAME. I loved her as Captain Marvel, and she did save their asses at one point, but they did not need to hype her up the way that they did.

I'm not one to go in with expectations, but that whole thing really set me up for disappointment tbh

I feel like they made her so powerful they almost had to sideline her til the end.

Tbh this is one of the reasons I avoid the press-tour and marketing for movies before they air because they sometimes have a habit of hyping a character/actor who... ends up having 2 scenes, lol.

So for me I wasn't at all disappointed with her screen-time/relevance because I didn't expect her to get more than a few scenes anyway.

As much as I loved Endgame, yeah. It felt very, "The eagles are coming!"

I went into the movie not knowing any of the hype, and she seemed kinda... Danvers ex machina to me.

It's the same old story: character with huge/amazing/unstoppable power. Whooo!! Wow!! ....now what do we do?

Because she destroyed spaceships and beat everyone, but then she coudln't beat Thanos? (not even the combined efforts of her+Steve+Tony+Thor+add in more could beat Thanos?)

They said they filmed her in Endgame before Captain Marvel even started filming, so.... Meh. I still love her, though.

It was not her story so I'm okay with sidelining her, but hell it was so painfully obvious they had no idea what kind of person she was (and how to write or even play her) that it was hard to watch. It was also so wooden.
