Italian people are descended from Romans who had slaves from all over the world so they tend to be a little bit more mixed race looking than most European people. (Spanish people also often have African ancestors because of historical reasons).

Okay? She’s still doing brownface. She isn’t naturally that dark. What is your point? Because other Italians are mixed race it’s okay for her to spray tan herself to the point where she looks ethnically ambiguous on purpose when she’s white as hell?

If her family traces its lineage back to southern Italy, could be within the past 150 years or so as a lot of southern Italian families had pirates (as in they were part of the Barbary Pirates contingent) in the ol' family tree.
