My friend pointed out how weird it was that Varys is suddenly espousing views like "a good king is one who doesn't wish to rule" when only last season he was talking about Robert being a bad king because he didn't want to rule. Yet another way in which the writing has no internal consistency anymore.

To me, Jon would be happiest traipsing back north with Tormund and the wildlings, fucking in caves and fighting when needed, freed of politics.
