It depends so much on what you're talking about specifically? There are some things where it really does make sense to use Google more than to ask a person, and especially where you're essentially asking someone else to use Google on your behalf, or asking about basic facts.

And this case seems like one of those. I mean, realistically, anon probably does not have pics of Gwendoline Christie saved on their phone or w/e. So all they're going to do is Google and find some pics and then post them. So it just seems sort of silly.

But if you're interested in furthering the conversation, there are polite ways to phrase 'go Google it'.

but it's their point to make? so why shouldn't they do the legwork to make their case instead of waiting on everyone to find a million different pictures that may or may not show Christie's face looking different over the years when they probably have one or two in mind already to make the comparison?

I suppose they could if they want to, but I just don't think it's unreasonable *not* to want to, either, in that situation.
