I think you had it right the first time. Jorah was obsessed with her and it was weird. In the books she's 13 when they meet. Yuck.

I liked that Daario dude. Sexy, not her nephew, just some good drama free dick and by far the best looking of the lot. I love Momoa but Drogo was gross.

To me, it was only creepy in the book. In the book, he was creepy and kept at it even when she was clearly not interested. And he tried to touch her while she was naked without even asking.

But on the show, he's not like that at all. He's in love with her, but he only ever shows it by being loyal. He doesn't ask her out once. And in the later seasons, he knows she loves Jon and is fine and doesn't do anything. He just silently loves her and remains loyal to her right to the end.

Plus, she was older than 13 on the show right from the beginning. So I can get behind Dany/Jorah in the show, even though in the books it is creepy.

ayrt

Agree to disagree. I know she's not as young on the show but he's still weird as hell about her and much older and more experienced. I think he uses the idea that he sees her as his Khaleesi/Queen to excuse his obsession with her and his loyal knight routine is to stay close to her. He's more passive about letting her know what he wants in the show, but she definitely knows and she feels guilty because over and over again he shows up and does things for her and makes a point of demonstrating that he cares more, does more, is most loyal, and what a decent guy he is to even try to get along with his competition. He knows exactly what he's doing and he's purposely creating a debt to make her feel as though she should want him because he's made himself the most "worthy" option by repeatedly hammering home the point that he loves her the most out of anyone ever.

IMO, his nice guy routine and his obsession were unhealthy and had a negative impact on her.

I could never really ship them. But, I mean, I would rather see Dany fall in love with Jorah than Jon.

I thought show!Jorah was dashing af. Savvy, compassionate, brave, a hopeless romantic... and he rocked the shit out of that blue neckerchief. I’m still perplexed she wouldn’t take him as a consort at SOME point.

And a great fighter - and the accent!

I love that actor and I love the performance he gave! He has a lot of Charisma.

I wish I could find this fanart but it was nearly five years ago so no hope of that.

But it was a sketch of Jorah and Daario from the book description (blue beard and all) standing next to Jorah and Daario from the show. Next panel is book Dany going 'wtf why do you get both of the hot ones?!' while show Dany laughs nervously.

Basically, poor book Dany deserves some eyecandy.

Hahaha, welcome, we have cookies! I don’t know about the book version, but I love him in the show.
