How did you not notice her mother calling her young lady or her friend calling her missy?

I mean, Kath Soucie alone voiced about half of the boy characters in the 90s and early 2000s, so that's not necessarily a tell.

Same. I always notice it when I watch the movie, but immediately forget once it's over.

I attribute this to the fact that we are so trained to know when a character is female based on her long eyelashes and the pink ribbon in her hair.
