I went to Peet's and got a tea latte and then read a bit (I started book one of the Star Wars Aftermath trilogy). It's raining here in NorCal which is kinda surprising for this time of year, and it's too wet and muddy to go running. I'll watch basketball this evening, go Bucks!

Jealous, I want to live somewhere near a Peet's.

I didn't appreciate Caribou Coffee when I was near one :( It's all starbucks and it's partially melted shit that costs 5$

Went on a long ass walk. Angrily listened to some GoT podcasts.

I lost track of GoT around season 3, but I've kept tabs on it over the years and I'm really sad for all the fans right now. I know this isn't ending how anyone wanted and it's heartbreaking when something you love doesn't get the ending it deserves. :(

I had two drinks last night which obviously means I've been terribly grumpy and anxious all day (not helped by various other things) but I still got some stuff I didn't want to do done so ok, I guess

Procrastinating. I almost went to the beach for a quick swim but was feeling too guilty about ignoring my work and didn't go tho I need to exercise. (

I don't have an oven so I tried making a 'pizza' from a toasted bagel with all the usual toppings and... it wasn't bad. Actually, I'm surprised how much I enjoyed it. Other than that, waiting for a phone call while outlining a new fic.

I used to make 'pizzas' out of English Muffins, splitting them open and adding pasta sauce, cheese, etc. They're pretty good!

The social media manager for Vita coconut water posted a picture of herself posing with a jug of piss to own someone on the Internet and I found it hot (not for pee play related reasons, just a hot and good vibe and energy). Well, now I've shared that with the internet and it's a part of all of your days.

Had to go look that up, what with such a random and intriguing lead in. Thanks for the laugh!

Chilling now that work is over. Omg what a day. When we interview for this position one of the questions is all, "Here's 6 things you need to deal with, how do you deal?"

I think I want my boss to use today as a sample question all:

"So, maintenance managed to blow something up and now the sterile hoods don't work which means we need to source pre-made TPNS from another hospital, and this item is discontinued, and here's a new back order, and where can you source this mystery medication this pharmacist wants but has no DIN for, and don't forget it's a long weekend coming up and you still need to place all your orders."

Minus stuff blowing up, this is pretty much my day every day. (I order for three hospitals in the healthcare system I work for.)

Work, drove to Pearsall in the late afternoon. Just got home. Have to be at work early tomorrow, so going to try to go to bed soon. Also have to give my kitty her monthly flea medicine.

I'm having one of those ugly moody/over-sensitive days where I just want to lash out at people over stupid shit and so I'm just watching lps and playing criminal case games instead of lashing out at people because even though my complaints are legit, the way I'd handle them today wouldn't be, and so it's better to just ignore the shit until I'm in a better place mentally to say anything about it.

Blah.

At least it's raining out and I've got a purring cat on me. It's not all bad. I like the rain and I love my cat. I might plan her graduation party, to cheer myself up. She's 17 turning 18 in September and a few friends and I have been tossing around the idea of a grad party for her since she'll be old enough to graduate high school lol.

I have a 17 year old cat turning 18 soon and now I have to plan a graduation party for him now, too! Great idea!

My turtle is 27 and needs to get a job.

Went grocery shopping and then to a farmer’s market and got a couple fancy pastries.

Trying to distract myself—I have either an ear infection, a bad tooth, or some other weird thing going on with my right ear/upper jaw. Even though I hate going to the doctor, I may go to a doc before a dentist, just because the last time I went to a dentist for what I was sure must’ve been a root canal in the making, he said whatever it was was wasn’t my teeth, gave me an antibiotic prescription for the pain and obvious swelling, and wished me luck. The swelling went away, anyway. Also, my dental insurance doesn’t cover much and I haven’t managed to find anyone who accepts it near where I live.

Saw a homeless guy passed out by the bus stop when I was on my way to the market, assumed he was drunk, realized just as I got on the bus that one of his eyes was open and staring at nothing. Saw him still sprawled out when I went by the other way on the return bus five hours later. I really hope the poor bastard wasn’t a corpse, sigh.

The last time I called 911 for an unconscious guy, after I and a bus driver both tried to wake him and couldn’t, he was just very deeply asleep/drunk, and pissed and scared to be woken by a bunch of cops. So I didn’t call about today’s dude, and now I’m second-guessing myself. Gonna go home, make dinner, and schlep laundry to the laundromat..

Worked, did some housekeeping, read, wrote, ran an errand for daughter, who's working still. Now i'm showered, in clean loungewear, in a clean bed, with my box fan in the window, cool and comfy and ready to chat up my bff and do more writing. :D

Today I had a breast biopsy. The anaesthetic is starting to wear off and I am feeling bruised.

Ouch! I hope you feel better soon and that the biopsy results aren't anything serious.

Had some stuff to do in the office this morning that took longer than I expected. Then I had to drive to the next city over to check something at [state agency], then do some work in the field. Currently chilling in a motel after taking a long walk to get some ice cream. Got a long, hot day of work ahead of me tomorrow, then I drive home.
