Actually, I'll shed some light on it.

It generally falls into:
1. It Used To Be Good, But At Some Point It Fell Off A Cliff And I'm Going Through The Stages of "My showrunners SUCK actually" Grief. (exchange showrunner as needed.)

2. I Like This One Character And/Or Ship And Hate Everyone Else, But Damn I Love This Character/Ship. (Sometimes character or ship can be replaced with 'this concept' or 'this worldbuilding.' though that's more rare.)

The other options would generally fall into "actually, I'm an asshole and love to shit on everyone's fun" because bizarrely enough, that kind of fandom interaction has become super popular on tumblr/twitter.

I usually end up going through 1, then either bail or cling grimly to 2 for awhile until I can’t stand it anymore.
