TW: Classism
(Anonymous) 2019-05-17 10:55 pm (UTC)(link)If so, what is it? Tank, DPS, heals, support, crafting, some other role? Warriors, Paladins, Rogues, Wizards, Clerics, Rangers, something else?
Or does it differ by game?
Are there any you NEVER find enjoyable?
Re: TW: Classism
(Anonymous) 2019-05-17 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)Second choice would be some kind of rogue with daggers/light swords. I like being speedy!
Tank is tough for me. I don't like being slow and it's hard for me to tank very well. I guess it could be fun in an MMO but generally, I'm a coward so like that distance.
Re: TW: Classism
Small groups: Heal/Support > Tank > ranged DPS > melee DPS
Large/raid groups: Heal/Support > any DPS > Tank (can't be bothered with the gear-peen sparring for the limited tank slots)
I really don't like playing Rogues of any kind, though I appreciate good ones not played by me.

Re: TW: Classism
In WoW, I played DPS (warlock) for my raid group. But in instances, I healed (resto druid) or tanked (bear druid).
In OW I play 1-2 characters on every role.

Re: TW: Classism
Usually a drow elf, they were awesome.
Re: TW: Classism
I do have one of every class though but healers are the type I'll usually main. Though if I do go DPS it's going to be a ranged class of some sort mage/warlock/S-Priest or something of that ilk.
But rogues are fun too, mostly because of the stealth and I my druids off-spec is feral purely for kitty-form.

I NEVER play a healer or support, unless I absolutely have to (like when I used to play competitive PvP stuff, if my group needed one and no one else was available). I'm good at it, but I find it to be the most boring thing.
