I heard this about an hour ago and I've been crying ever since. I don't care about celebrities but this hurts. She was such a good baby.

Yeah, I literally can't honestly say I've ever felt emotion at any celebrity that dies. Even if I liked their work, so what? I don't know them. People die all the time.

But Grumpy Cat dying is so, so sad!

Sorry - I thought about it, and my phrasing was rude if Grumpy Cat dying makes you sad. But I actually really don’t understand why people you don’t know dying is different from other animals you don’t know dying. Sorry, I feel like I’m not able to articulate this well but I wanted to apologize.

thank you for the retraction anon. I'm sure I'm sad mostly because it reminds me of my own cat dying and my new cats will someday too and that's just a lot to grieve about right now. I really don't need the reminder on top of the world going to hell that the only thing I love in my life is going to die in like five years.

I haven't felt this bad about a celebrity death since Carrie Fisher died. This may actually feel worse. Such a precious kitty. This really hurts.

I'm upset.
Best wishes to all those who were very close to her.
As for me, all of those Grumpy Cat quotes were a wonderful coping mechanism when life gets tough.

I cried as soon as I found out, I loved Grumpy Cat. It hits close to home for me too since I lost my cat last year. :( RIP.
