Re: Ships You Can't Admit To

Yeah, I'm fine with both pairings. I don't really ship them, but I also don't really ship anybody else, so I guess I just don't have strong feelings either way. I can see why, in fandom spaces, you would be hesitant to admit to shipping either of those pairings, though. Fandom is so freaking critical of both of them.

Also imo they have a connection because they both had a very deep and in a way, intimate run in with Voldemort. And it really affected who they became, re: being dedicated to fighting him.

This is a good point, and I agree.

It bothers me when people act like it's a fact that Romoine can't be healthy because they did stupid immature shit as teenagers. That's kind of a teenager thing.

I just believe they became more mature in adultgood. Mostly.

AYRT - Yeah, I agree. If anything, the fact that they are able to argue and bristle at each other and be really pissed off, and still love each other and make up and be as close as ever, is something that makes their relationship feel quite durable and lived-in, to me.

They are not star-crossed, they're not a particularly romantic pairing, but I also don't see them getting tripped up down the line by the realities of being a committed couple. They already know what their dynamic is - the good and the bad - and knowing that, they still love each other.
