Am I wrong to identify this as the 'masculine' flavour of bad fanfic?

I think it's one specific kind of bad 'masculine' fiction. But it's not limited to fiction (try reading any random milsf series sometime and there's about a 50% chance this stuff will show up) and it's not the only masculine oriented badfic style.

It’s not fully such, at least. If it were every kind of bad masculine fanfiction in one, it would have a lot more more maledom sex.

I’ve heard Paladin of Shadows is actually like this, but with maledom sex. Never read it myself, though.
