Not like that EVEN MATTERS, as a canonical character could just as easily be a self insert as a fanfiction character.

I like it because I think it's unique. I don't keep up with TTGL too much honestly, but when I first saw that character, I felt like her design was not only carefully planned out. I haven't seen too many characters with eyes like that, and most manga artists seem to dislike drawing characters with very bushy, poofy hair like her's, especially the color scheme, also. I wish they'd break tradition and design a character who looks like Nia, but happens to be very cruel and violent. x.x; Also, I like Yoko's design too, but when I first saw her, she reminded me of a pink, red and black version of FFX-2 Rikku, honestly.

101 Good for you, and also: I feel really bad for the fiscal/small government conservatives. You guys have beliefs that I can understand and that I think are important correctives to the liberals, but you're so overrun with social conservatives, who I feel are dangerous to the Republic. I really don't see the need to call "Mary Sue" someone that fits a character archetype that existed from long before the term "Mary Sue" was coined. I don't really care if people hate something I like, but the word "Mary Sue" has no place in discussion. It's a lazy way to make your dislike seem more justified and that's completely unnecessary since dislike isn't something that needs to be justified in the first place.

And for me, what Nia helped Simon learn was that it was fine to "run away", she helped his "heart" rather than his confidence. Simon's confidence was always there, he just needed a reason to fight for. He needed ideals. Basically, she gave him purpose and understanding. Kinda.
