105. Lord Genome was raising girls like dolls, so of course, he'll want them as pretty as they can get. Same question can be asked about Kamina's tattoos, haha. Um, that's my thoughts on the DESIGN, at least. As for Mary Sue, yes, she totally is. It's fine if you don't like her, since a lot of people don't? I really love her, but I've seen a lot of batshit fans, so. =A=

Politely disagreeing with the 'she didn't do anything for Simon,' though. I think her believing in him, and insisting this, and giving him something to DO, for example: saving her multiple times, gave him more confidence etc. Also, when she TELLS him to be himself, not anyone else, etc. But I can see why you would say she didn't do anything, and I'm more... Mm... Saying what I think than I am disagreeing.

158. I liked Twister, but I didn't much care for the rest of the soundtrack. It wasn't awful, though. Only downloaded it for that one song/two if you count the remix.

I really don't see the need to call "Mary Sue" someone that fits a character archetype that existed from long before the term "Mary Sue" was coined. I don't really care if people hate something I like, but the word "Mary Sue" has no place in discussion. It's a lazy way to make your dislike seem more justified and that's completely unnecessary since dislike isn't something that needs to be justified in the first place.

And for me, what Nia helped Simon learn was that it was fine to "run away", she helped his "heart" rather than his confidence. Simon's confidence was always there, he just needed a reason to fight for. He needed ideals. Basically, she gave him purpose and understanding. Kinda.

I... Pretty much agree with that on the Mary Sue thing! But, idk, for me... Mary Sue isn't really a derogatory word, because I love. Uh. Any kind of character, really. But, yeah

That's probably more accurate than my thoughts on it! :O
