How would you have written it differently?

Inspired by the clusterfuck that was the GOT final series, but all your favourite disappointments are welcome!

Oh man. Definitely Game of Thrones. I think between that and Endgame, I'd pick Game of Thrones. Endgame wasn't great, but it wasn't as bad as season 8 of Game of Thrones. And the MCU has much better fix-it fics that I can pretend are what happened.

But top choice would be the How I Met Your Mother final. Still the worst ending ever for me.

Game of Thrones season 7 & 8. Give them full seasons with more character development. Have season 7 end with the battle against the Night King starting. Don't make Dany and Jon fall in love until the end of S7.

Either don't have Jaime hook up with Brienne or don't have him leave her to go back to Cersei (unless to kill her).

Have the first two episodes of S8 be Battle of Winterfell. Next three episodes dealing with Cersei. Three episodes to deal with Dany.

Have Dany becoming more paranoid earlier. Sequence of events I would do to set her off though: Kill Jorah during Battle of Winterfell. Have Euron attack the ships but not kill any dragons. Have them kill Missandei during the attack. Have Euron die during the attack (dragons wipe ships out). Have Rhaegal be wounded during the battle.

During battle against Cersei, have them give up just like in the show and ring the bells. But then have someone kill Rhaegal after they surrender. Have Dany lose her mind at that moment and start torching everything. Have her torch a large portion of the city WHILE doing to the Red Keep but not target the whole city.

Wow. I still don't like a lot of the ideas, but your plan at least would have made them believable.

can I change all of House from season 4 through 8?

Yes, this. Seasons 1 and 2 will always be my favs. but I enjoyed seasons 3 & 4 and after that... ow. Just no.

A few years ago I would have changed the final episode of "Will & Grace." Thank goodness it was all a dream! (But seriously, I remember my sister & being pissed the finale was "And then they didn't talk to each other for like a decade." That was stupid.)

I think it was more than a decade since their kids grew from babies to 18-ish! That was so stupid.

I'd like to change it so that the blade goes through Kaylie AND breaks the mirror at the end. Tim still goes back to some kind of psychiatric prison for the insane, Kaylie still dies, but the mirror is broken too.

I won't argue this is an objectively better ending, but I don't think it's a worse ending, either, and I just kind of hate endings that are 100% dark. Like, a dark ending to a horror movie is completely fine, but if it's The Darkest Possible Ending Of All The Endings, I just kind of numb out and get annoyed or something. So I'd like to change Oculus's ending to be only 80% dark as fuck.

As it is it's still a good movie, though.

But yeah, endgame.

Lose all the time travel crap, or use it as a bare minimum.

Tighten the focus in on Wanda. And her deteriorating mental state... She gets vision back... only to lose him in the final battle.

She flips Screams, powers wildly out of control. "NO... MORE"

Flash to white.

Steve is now an hold man having be forced back to the 1940's as wanda's reward for him. He didn;t choose to abandon everyone but get his hearts deepest desire.

Captain marvel is instantly retconned by wanda's power into being the worlds best known and most beloved super hero.

Tony stark isn't a super genuis, he's out in the suburbs living his live with pepper and their child.

Everyone lost in the snap is back and all the hero's have their deepest wishes fulfilled.

Vision is alive, and now living with a depowered wanda. But Quicksilver is also alive... And wanda and Quicksilver are no longer freaks and loners... They live in a community with other special people... Other mutants - Now the MCU Xmen have a reason for suddenly existing.

The world seems to be at perfect peace... but there are one of two subtle discordant notes. Maybe things seem a little too perfect. Not sure HOW they do this but they lead into the idea that this is not how the world is supposed to be. Film ends.

Over the rest of the next phase of movies exploring this house of M style world we realise that the world isn't right, hero's start getting memories back. Next phase explores this. Big bad is being.

Big bad is being Magnito who remembers the old world and WILL NOT let the hero's fix it.
