I still like both their characters though, and their relationship is pretty fun in a 'badass evil power-couple' way even if it doesn't last all the way until the end.

Know that's now what you're talking about op but even leaving aside the "eww he's rotting" thoughts I just can't get over the "these computer effects are a little lame" aspect myself.
I was a teen when these films came out though so I have such nostalgia for them, I love them. So you do you if this is the thing that gets you interested.
