As someone who is regularly unresponded to, I have to say it's usually a blessing, tbh.
It sucks, but hey, people aren't going to attack you for being you at the very least...

It’s very true. My craving for responses can sometimes be at odds with my fear of negative responses. Then again, that’s why it’s easiest here. Anonymously, nobody will know that the weirdo who said awkward thing #1 is the same person as the weirdo who said completely unrelated awkward thing #2. The lack of building up a reputation makes me less afraid to possibly be awkward. Past faux pas won’t affect people’s thoughts going into a new post. (What’s the plural of faux pas? Faux pases? Faux pasta?)
