she is smarter/more dangerous than a lot of the other characters give her credit for, while still being nowhere near as clever as she thinks she is – which is an interesting balance, imo. that being said, i read the books and only watched part of the show, and the show... esp the later seasons seem to drastically dumb everyone down. it's less someone getting the idiot ball and more everyone wading around in the idiot ball pit.
