Yep, example: Turning the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man into Tony's neglected apprentice with a spider-themed Iron Man suit and a bad case of hero worship on Tony.

Not to mention that out of all of the Captain America stories where he gets disillusioned with the state of the system he's working for and goes off to find himself and the "Real America," they pick a cross-over event that was widely disliked but had maximum Tony.

I'm livid at how they did Peter so dirty with these movies.

Have you seen traincat's posts about MCU Peter? Also has a lot of interesting posts about MCU using Miles Morales background for MCU Peter.

Check the 'mcu criticism' and 'mcu negativity' also, I think some of them aren't in the one I linked.

(Fan of Spider-man since a kid, zero interest in MCU Spider-sidekick or Avengers. Also let the poor man stay an adult in the movies, I never associated him with those short years in high school.)

ayrt- ooh, thanks! I'm glad we at least had Into The Spiderverse to show what Spiderman CAN be.

ayrt

It was the best! It made me remember how much I loved Peter and Spider-man. And I tend to be reluctant about other characters being given an established character's hardwon identity while being expected to immediately transfer my attachment to them, but I'm so excited for more Miles and Gwen's spinoff movie.
