It's weird cause I get annoyed by "hey girls", but when it's "what's up boys" I just feel more comfortable, because I very much don't want to be noticed as 'that girl' in the gaming community.

Oh well. My own issues I probably need to deal with.

My feeling is that if "hey boys and girls" was normalized, you wouldn't feel as much like "The Chick" any more... cause it's then acknowledged there's lots of girls and you're not trying to be the odd special one
