Now that I'm thinking about it, what would've been awesome would be if Elle went "this guy is trying TOO hard, nobody is THAT much of a stereotype - even ME" and discovered the guy is faking flamboyance to hide a straight affair with the daughter. That would've reinforced the movie's theme that people are more than stereotypes and you have to look past them to find the truth.

But no, we got that instead.
