That still doesn't change that the animators get peanuts and there's better ways to support them than a crunchyroll sub.

The money literally goes to the anime publishers. The article states that it's additional revenue sources, like ads, that pay for their employees. Not to mention, CR and other sites have legally met demand for anime, support the industry, and increase incentive to bring shows overseas.

It is objectively better to get a Crunchyroll sub than not. By pirating anime, you are simply stealing. Yes, you can get merch also. Buy DVDs, by all means. But don't pirate and pretend Crunchyroll is some kind of scam. That's complete bullshit.

Who on Earth is suggesting pirating here?? That's literally just you railing on about something no one said. The secret itself says to just buy the Blu-Rays. Why are you scolding people?

(Anonymous) 2019-05-31 02:36 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe for spreading bullshit that's verifiably incorrect? This is literally the reason people justify their pirating, by saying "Crunchyroll doesn't give any money to the people making anime, they just keep it all for themselves!" which is ridiculously easy to figure out is a complete lie.

(Anonymous) 2019-05-31 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
Also, you really think OP is importing Blu-rays from Japan for anime titles she's never watched previously just to check them out? If she's not legally streaming them or watching them on TV, guarantee she's pirating.

I honestly think you have a stick up your ass and you're taking out your aggression on people for no reason. Settle down. No one's advocating pirating, end of. You're very much the crazy old lady at the bus stop right now.

(Anonymous) 2019-05-31 10:24 pm (UTC)(link)
You do realize you don't need a crunchyroll sub to watch shows on crunchyroll, yes?

(Anonymous) 2019-05-31 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
You might want to take a deep breath and reread the secret. Nowhere does OP advocate pirating. It would be complete bullshit... but it's not bullshit that's actually relevant to THIS secret.

(Anonymous) 2019-05-31 02:36 am (UTC)(link)
The secret is bullshit, period.

(Anonymous) 2019-05-31 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
It's far better to export and show direct interest from overseas. No one mentioned piracy but you, ya fuckhead.

(Anonymous) 2019-05-31 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
Why would anyone want to export something that they can't watch because it isn't in their language?

(Anonymous) 2019-05-31 02:42 pm (UTC)(link)
you know you could just buy that shit and then torrent a version with fansubs? it's not an either or situation my guy

(Anonymous) 2019-05-31 04:31 pm (UTC)(link)
To show genuine fucking interest in the project instead of a corporation that just wants your moolah as the middleman?
