[Jaime/Brienne]

I kinda saw it as a possibility in the books and the series seemed to be following similar implications. But like a lot of things in this last season they raced to the end. I thought Jaime knighting her was sweet and kinda emphasised the untold feelings. But them ending up in bed together still felt very rushed.

And the less said about how everything that happened afterward completely crapped on Brienne, the better.

"still felt very rushed" could be the tagline for the last 2 seasons.

I could have written this secret. D&D did a disservice not only by rushing this bang, but also developing amnesia, apparently, about how much buildup J/B's relationship did throughout the seasons. And let's not even get into the shitting all over Jaime's character redemption arc. I pray it'll be handled better in the books... if they're ever released.

Also, I fucking love that art.

His ending soured the whole character arc. No point in rewatching any of his scenes when you know that he's going to eventually toss all personal growth away and return to square one.

I get that. I was thinking about when the season 8 collection will be released... I'll probably end up rewatching the series but end at episode 8.2 and pretend the Night King got them all because the alternative wasn't much better read only fanfiction that ignores any show canon beyond that. Because. well. no word on TWoW.

Oh yeah, hard agree

With the ending, it felt like "Here's the carrot, and HERE'S THE STICK WE'VE BEEN HOLDING BEHIND OUR BACK." Like, what was the point except to sucker Jaime/Brienne fans?
