What is everyone doing this weekend?

It is going to be raining AGAIN so I will probably just stay in. Tomorrow, I'll be talking to everyone who watched Logan Lucky. :) Other than that, playing some OW and reading a book.

Going to lunch with my mother and her friends.

Only using it as an excuse for free food and to exercise right afterward. I try not to talk to people in my city.

I feel you, I hate going back to my hometown. I hope it is as least good food.

Teaching a class tomorrow. And starting serious job searching Sunday since I was half fired today.

Have fun with your class! And good luck on the job searching! From what I know, you have a pretty robust background! I am sure you will do great.

How do you get half-fired? Like they cut your hours?

Not exactly sure to be honest. What it boils down to is my boss is cheep. I've been working 30 hours a week for 500. He wants to cut me back, he isn't sure how much, wants to think about it, says we may go back to him just sending me writing assignments and me doing them from home. It was a weird conversation, honestly. I'm still pretty pissed off.

Working Saturday but off Sunday and going to Sunday brunch.

Have fun at brunch. One of the best meals to eat because pancakes + cocktails.

I had my Friday off and used it to spend my whole afternoon in a geeky pub nursing an "Aziraphale" cocktail and my old copy of Good Omens. I came back home more than half plastered so I guess my weekend's already done.
Anyway this Saturday's the Gay Pride in my town so I'm not setting foot outside because I don't do well with crowds and noise.
I don't really have plans for Sunday. Maybe a little gardening?

Tomorrow I have to go to the post office to get stamps and then I'm going to go for a long walk and go to this combination bar/cafe/bookstore/restaurant/music store I love.

Feel free to send me any unwanted rain. I’ll be attacking weeds in my front yard and park strip, trying to figure out my old embroidery machine, and going on a hike, and then I work Sunday.

I wish I could send it to you! We have had some crazy flooding because of it. Is your old embroidery machine antique or just older?

Oh no, are you in farm country? The photos are pretty terrifying; I hope you’re on high ground!

My machine’s ten years old; I just haven’t used it much and am having a hard time getting it to embroider silk instead of tearing it up, even using stabilizer. I wish I could use washaway iron on stabilizer, which works well, but it’d ruin the hand/texture of the fabric.

Thankfully, I am in a town and out of the flood plain. But if it gets too bad, the roads will be taken over. We have had two roads be permanently closed because they collapsed.

Probably just staying in. I had to deal with a ton of idiots this week and had a crappy day at work today so I kind of just want to stay away from humanity for awhile. I've got plenty of groceries, there are a few shows I want to watch, I have books to read...so I'm hoping I can just really relax and hopefully be less stressed and irritable by Monday.

That sucks. I hope you feel better! What books are you thinking of reading?

theres a japanese film festival happening and i watched a movie on wednesday and saw 2 today (sat).
sunday is work so no break time /me time sadly

Finally talked my friend into going to Star Trek club with me, but got super sick so we had to leave halfway through. Stupid viral infection. At least I didn't throw up!

Tomorrow another friend is coming to my town and we're gonna get some food (light for me!) and finally watch The Wrath of Khan. I hope she'll love it.

Oh, and I promised I'd take her to the park so she can photograph bunnies.
