I freely admit that it's defensive tbh. I think that a lot of people think that being critical of movies (or whatever other kind of entertainment) means you're doing something wrong.

LOL. And you're delivering a lecture just in case? That seems like a really unpleasant way to approach discussions. Is there something wrong with waiting to see if people are actually guilty of doing the thing that annoys you, before you react like they're doing the thing that annoys you?
