It depends. I work at a pretty liberal place and have seen guys drop negative stereotypes of butches they work with/for. So while gender-nonconforming women have a bit more space for plausible deniability in work wear, there's definitely is a point at which one can be too butch.

Let's be real: those dudes would drop negative comments no matter what the target was wearing. That's a testament to those dudes, specifically, not the liberal workplace.
