Solid points and I don't disagree with you about the reason behind the race bending backlash. There are undoubtedly some people in Hollywood saying "Let's cast the best WHITE actor we can find" and that is of course a problem, But i don't think it happens as often as people seem to think it does*, and I think the solution to that being "Lets start throwing shit at Scarjo so she quits!" is anything close to a solution.

*(Like the people getting on ATLA movie. Come on, was there really a better casting call for ang? That kid, tho white, was PERFECT for that role)

All that said I agree with you that the reason behind the backlash has some validity to it. It's the backlash itself I find to be... Badly implemented.
