Yeah, I was as surprised as you to find out it was the juggernaut ship and that Rodney was so beloved because I started out disliking him, then he got some development and while he still was my least fav of the team, I didn't mind him anymore and THEN I started hating him.

I think there was a missed opportunity after he met "other Rodney" and saw how everyone warmed to that version of him -- if only he'd actually shown more than faint flickers of character development after that!
