I've listened to her album. She's a terrible singer. And I won't shut the fuck up just because I disagree with you, thanks.

The fact that she's furthering the use of "gay" as a synonym for "lame" in "ur so gay" and is essentially being the most desperate chick at the bar on an international level in "I kissed a girl" doesn't help.

Also, what does her being "fucking gorgeous" have to do with anything?

Which is why it's so stupid. Stereotypically gay? Exactly. We're trying to break stereotypes and shit. I'm sick of people pigeonholing gay men into effeminate queenie Madonna fans and lesbian women into short-haired flannel wearing motorbikers. She basically said "you are gay because you don't do manly things" to the guy she was talking about. THAT IS WHY PEOPLE HATE HER OK? OK.

If you're serious and not trolling for the lolz, then please, for the love of God and pie, actually listen to what people are saying to you. Her songs are offensive and homophobic. This is why people don't like her.

Did you see her cover of "Like a Virgin"? Live at the VMAs? Sans the audio retouching they slather onto her on her album? Terrible. I don't think she is better than "some of the other pop singers out right now", but even if she is, the fact that she's not as bad as others of her genre does not make her necessarily good.

And as for "Ur so gay", I disagree; I think she's describing an emo wanker, and using "gay" to mean lame. Even the title suggests this. However, even if we were to assume that my interpretation is incorrect, you still don't make much of a case for her - gay people are stereotypically shallow, pretentious, and entirely unlikeable? Oh, I see.

Her beauty cannot be true or false. There is no facticity in aesthetics. There are just people who think she is pretty and people who think she is not pretty. No one deserves to be told to shut the fuck up about their opinion, especially when it's something as subjective and trivial as looks.

Honestly, I give half a fuck whether or not you like her, yeah? I just don't like being told to "shut the fuck up". What does it matter to you if not everyone in the world adores her?
