Re: 138 OP

Of course B5 had it's problems...still does...but that's true of ANY show, SF or non-SF. And you're right, it IS better than 90% of SF that came after it.

or the die hard Trekkers who don't watch anything else (yes, those exist, I've met two of them)

Oh don't I know it. And, while I love Trek and I appreciate what it did and, to an extent, still does for fandom and for SF, it's not the end all, be all. And I'm not saying B5 is, either.

My whole thing is that B5 was one of the first (if not the first) SF show that didn't have humans being the perfect, problem solving, all knowing race. It showed humanity has it flaws, even in the future. Plus, it showed that our meddling has consequences. B5 has been called the "anti-Trek" and I agree and disagree with that.

But I mean B5 has done SO MUCH for SF and the fact that some SF fans don't appreciate that or just choose not to acknowledge it just infuriates me.

/end rant (I could go forever...I've been a B5 fan since the original 2-hr movie and was even one of the first fans on the GEnie network and one of the original Grid Epsilon Irregulars, the first B5 fan club sanctioned by JMS himself.)

Also? *bows down to you for the OP*
