If you go to this page: https://www.amazon.com/Battle-Horse-English-Swedish/dp/0027512401 You can scroll pictures of the book. The second picture is the back cover that had the blurb I read. It really does sound like a fantasy novel.

I can understand how that easily could be interpreted as some fantasy story. There's no sleeve on my copy so there is only a smaller blurb on the back:
