160: Fuck you. Seriously, I can understand you dishing out some shit about how you're poor, or lazy, or just fucking stingy, but don't give me that shit about how fansubbers don't deserve some payback, because of, what, 'crappy subs'?

Let's see you put fucking hours and hours of work into translating every word, typing out every line of script, and video editing before you shoot your shitty mouth off, okay?

For the record, I'm not a fansubber-- I did some translations/scripts before, so I know how it feels, somewhat.

Not saying that one should necessarily PAY a fansubber (for the record, I haven't either), but attacking them to say they don't deserve or have not done work that accredits pay/compensation is absolutely BS.

Oh, I agree. I appreciate fansubs. And if I get a shitty fansub, well, hey, it's free. I know that even the "shitty" fansubs are a lot of work.

Before the days of internetting, I used to pay for blank tapes+postage to get copies of fansubs, so being able to torrent is wonderful. But I put a lot of hardwork and effort into my fanfic and I'm happy to get a "This was great!" I guess I feel like giving "THis way great!" praise to a fansubber should be enough.

Though I wouldn't laugh at people who want to donate. And I don't see anything wrong with donating $5-10 to a fansubber who has subbed ALL of some 100 episode anime. That's a hell of a lot cheaper than buying each title for $20 on DVD, etc.

Definitely-- Fansubs are so fantastic, I don't even know how to begin to explain it xD Anime's also helped me out a lot in my times of mental weakness/emotion stress, and that's mainly fansubs for me-- so in a way, these people are also supporting me through their contributions to entertainment. DVDs are just far too grossly expensive to buy for the average anime watcher :<

But yeah-- I'm normally not such a raging spitting ball of fire, but the ungrateful and snotty tone in that secret really rubbed me the wrong wrong wrong way. Shitty subs are a lot of work too, and if they're good enough to understand and gain some entertainment from, well, that's one more episode that you didn't watch before.
