Idk, I kind of feel like that's been going on a long time. It's just that we have more websites/social media and people on these sites.

I catch myself doing it at times too. Why? I think it's easy to misinterpret text on the internet, and go with your first instinct or think the worst of someone else before asking that person to clarify what they meant. I know, I know. I try to undo the nastiness before I post though.
