They were both too old, the red hair was just wrong and Tennant overacted the role completely. There weren't many scenes where he wasn't making a stupid, exaggerated face in the place of actual, convincing acting. I was painfully aware the whole time that he pulling a role.

I mean Crowley by nature is pretty stupid anf exaggerated, let's be honest.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks along these lines! I think they were both just as bad to be honest - too old, bad dye-jobs and hairstyles, overacting... I think the creepy demon-eyes were also too over-used, should have just been kept for the one moment we didn't see sunglasses on Crowley's face.

I mean, that's just what his eyes look like all the time, though. Canonically. Going out of the way to avoid showing them would have been silly.

Tennant overacts everything.
