It's making me realize how much I hate when something I hate is commonly liked. I don't mind when an individual or people I know love it, but when the common outlet reports it as positive I just get so...annoyed.

Yes, MCU is not that good and aggressively over-hyped as a mass cultural experience. So yeah, I get annoyed when otherwise sober commentators go off the deep end about the deep cultural meaning of Thanos or Tony Stark. Apparently "likes MCU" vs. "unimpressed by MCU" is the new cat person vs. dog person.
