Gonna stick with ships for this, because if I branch out to friendships and familial relationships there's just way too many!

Faves:

John Connor/Cameron Baum - Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
Jim/Pam - The Office
Will/Hannibal - Hannibal (I only sort of ship this, but like, I do really love their relationship for the complexly psychological, intense, horrifying thing it is.)

Runners Up:

Virginia Johnson/Bill Masters - Master Of Sex (Virginia deserves SO. MUCH. BETTER. than Bill I-emotionally-hurt-everyone-in-my-life-because-I-have-issues Masters, but I can't help myself, I ship it anyway.)

Laura Roslyn/Bill Adama - BSG
Kara Thrace/Lee Adama - BSG

Logan/Veronica - Veronica Mars

Monica/Chandler - FRIENDS (Because it's a sitcom, the show occasionally has them do some pretty not-good things in the name of getting laughs - let's call it "sitcom-itis." But exempting the occasional blip of sitcom-itis, I think their relationship was actually a really good example of two fairly high-maintenance people who knew they would have to put in real effort and sometimes make sacrifices in order to make their relationship work, and who valued each other and their relationship enough to do all of that. And who consistently found ways of supporting each other and helping each other grow, through thick and thin.)

Oh damn it I forgot Monica/Chandler.

And I agree with you about them, and tbh out of all the couples on that show they were the most functional and a pair I could actually see working out irl and long-term too. Obviously they have their foibles in the way that pretty much any fictional couple will have, but they were surprisingly solid given the genre.

I really like/d when Cyclops and Jean were together. Not in all the different universes but often enough.

Same with Pepper and Tony.

Tony and Pepper are great. I ship Tony with someone else, but I hate when fic writers talk shit about Pepper and/or her relationship with Tony; it always feels completely unmerited and just- mean spirited.

Their relationship feels real and consistent to me, and, for the most part, pretty healthy (I mean, as healthy as any relationship involving Tony can be, because lbr here, the dude's a hot mess, emotionally speaking).
