I hate when something sounds cool and I get interested and then it's just gone. But I actually like Tumblr's version of a "not found" page. I don't find it rude at all.

I find it adorable, but then again, I like cutesy 404 pages.

Mte, and I'm a bit confused by this secret. All that notice means is that the content has been deleted for any number of reasons (OP deleted it, it violated some rule and Tumblr deleted it, etc.). I don't find it rude at all either, but it IS somewhat frustrating if you're looking for something specific that's now gone.

I assume that a lot of the stuff would be missing because it got deleted when Tumblr purged the porn? And that's probably what OP had in mind as "rude"?

I remember since it was the original poster who had to dispute the bot, there were some innocuous posts that never got unflagged.

I think it's a little rude - sarcasm can absolutely be funny, but that doesn't mean it's not rude or grating. In contrast, something like, "Sorry, whatever you were looking for doesn't currently exist at this address. It may have been deleted or moved." would be much more polite, or even just "Whatever you were looking for doesn't currently exist at this address." would be okay.
