It used to be as long as I could tell what the facial expressions was meant to convey, I gave it a try and stuck to it as long as the story was good. But I also followed webcomics that had uninspired stories if the art was pretty too.

Now I'm really picky because I don't spend the time I used to on webcomics.

Competition has gotten fierce too though. There are professional artists putting out webcomics and making money off them. Not always enough to quit their dayjob but enough incentive that it’s not like back in the early 2000's.
