I don't hate how the RP works, I'm just offering suggestions on how to improve it. My gripes are obvious - the characters are obviously out-of-character. The excuses the mun is giving aren't justifications for it. It's perfectly fine to be busy with life, to not be able to play games and still want to RP someone - but do your research.

I understand that the RP is just for fun and kicks, that is perfectly fine! I'm not here to rain on anyone's parade, but if they want to improve (which, I'm assuming since they commented to my thread) then they need to start. There's a lot of improvement to be made. The character being portrayed is not the same one as from the game.

Have all the fun you want, I'm not here to stop that.

We really shouldn't take advice from people who don't like how we swing because that means it would be a slide at making you join!

You're absolutely right. You don't have to take it, I'm perfectly fine with that.

Again, it's not how you swing, it's just that the characterization suffers at times. This isn't an attack on any of you, continue to have fun and enjoy your RP. I only mean to disagree with a few points and offer suggestions for it.

I was hoping you would be a bit more understanding, I don't see what my interest in joining has anything to do with this in all honesty, but thank you for taking the time to read this.

I just read it! I saw Cammi's first so I thought I should give her my words before tackling yours.

I value all opinions in the end. Can't say we'll do much to better meet the expectations of Nintendo fans who want to see a certain "unf" from their favorite characters. This RP's appeal to some people is a lot like the appeal of drawing balloon-sized fat girls on DeviantArt, or Panther x Krystal stories on Fanfiction.Net's Starfox Archive. Much like that.

As for the forced drop. It really wasn't without reason. One character was inactivce for three months but was afraid to drop because "OMG NOO KAZOOIE-MUN'S GOING TO GET UPSET D:" And that cycle had to end.

The OTHER! That's a funny story! I personally hired a Banjo to go along with my Kazooie and was unhappy with my hiree's lack of performance which moot points the whole purpose of hiring a Banjo. She's happy with her other character so now it's time for me to start hiring a Banjo again and finally go about plans with him and Kazooie the way they as normally intentioned four months ago.

I should make it clear now that I don't follow any of the relationships between any of the characters. This keeps getting brought up and I'm horribly confused on why this of any importance.

That's fine. You don't have to explain it now. Did she keep commenting on the activity checks when she should have been dropped? Maybe something needs to be addressed about that... well, good luck to you!

I didn't mean it in a sense of character relationships, but how they act in general in the RP, like Linebeck for example. If I made it sound the other way, I apologize.

We're only having our first activity check now and she did sign it. Right now we're having some issues with the check in general because two people came out of haitus five minutes to sign that and were not heard from since, and they were gone since May and have a fear of "losing their characters".

Hmm... Do you link to recent posts/journal entries by characters in the activity check? That's effective in getting people to post, they have to provide proof they've been active. Just signing in to claim your character is rude and dumb.

Valid point. I just followed Island RP's past Activity checks when the mods and I first agreed on this.

It would be a terrible idea to objectively consider the validity of someone's opinions because that would just be trying to please them, and we can't have that! Then they might join, and that would be HORRIBLE.

I'm actually another lurker who thought of joining this place, but seeing how the other muns are reacting to this has totally turned me away. :( Le sigh~ There's such a lack of Nintendo-centric rps out there...

Another RP-mun here. I obviously can't speak for everyone because I don't even speak to the other muns that much, but I just want to apologize if ~~I'm sorry, but do I really need that 'if' now?~~ the general behavior comes off badly. I...can't say much more, unfortunately, due to lack of out-of-character interaction from me and thus a lack of knowledge on the others. I wish you luck in finding other good Nintendo RPs (because I'm actually kind of interested too).

As for the whole IC vs. fun thing... Well, I'm a canon whore and a fan of utter crack, so I'm torn on it. I'm just going to stay out of it, try to fix my 'weaker' character, hope this doesn't result in a true dramabomb. I'd even go and get concrit if I didn't think I'd be a bit thin-skinned towards it since I'm really concerned I might have butchered one character in my quest for plot.

tl;dr: You never heard from me. I was not involved in this. It is just a trick of the mind.
