Oh this is me as well, I write fic purely for fun and part of the reason I never join any like fandom writing groups or friend-circles is because I just... don't take is as seriously as a lot of people in those seem to.

I don't agonize over what I'm writing, I don't care if people like my fic or not, I consider my writing distinctly mediocre and I'm cool with that.

Writing fic is a hobby for me and I treat it as such.

Nah it's not irrational at all, I might not care if people like my fic but I absolutely understand other people caring about it. It's something you took time on to create and posted in the hopes that others will enjoy, so it's not at all silly to hope for positive feedback or attention.
