I mean, are they blogging advice on their own blogs? Or are they commenting on other peoples' blogs with said advice? Huge difference.

Their own blogs, but I'm talking about tone. I follow someone who reblogs innocuous "here are some handy writing tips!" posts, which come across as friendly and helpful. But then I occasionally come across people who post shit that basically reads like "siiiiiigh you are all so dumb, and I'm sick of having to read your subpar fic, so you owe it to the world to follow this advice." You know?

Ah, yeah tone can make a huge difference, even if the advice is the same in both!
