It's just you and everyone that has fallen for the fear mongering bait that Tumblr shoveled out a few years ago that unfortunately spread like wildfire across the internet; no one gave a shit before then. There is no biological difference between a 17 year old and an 18 year old, especially not in FICTION (where no matter how young or old someone is, it's irrelevant because they don't actually exist and thus can't be harmed in any way). None. At all. If anyone wants to play the age card, the legal age limit arguably should be upped to around 25 instead of 18 because that's around the time the human brain has matured.

Anyway, the mentioned style of nose bothers me less than the 'rosy nose' aesthetic.
