First off, yay, "Twilight Zone" secret!

Second, agreed. I could list so many episodes from the original that didn't even try to hide their political leanings and let you know exactly where they stand. Hell, the '80s and '00s versions had their moments of that sort, too. So it really shouldn't be any surprise to anyone that the latest version would follow in that vein.

I will agree with another comment here that the new version could shorten the length of its episodes, though. This show has proven time and again that a half hour is the best way to try and tell these kinds of stories (I do like some of the hour-long episodes in the original series, but there's a reason they only did that for one season).
