That honestly doesn't sound like "no homo!" and more like "no, there won't be an on-screen romance between the protag and antag," she's clear that some exploration of sexuality and discovery is going on

But that doesn't have to mean a canon romantic relationship happens between the two leads

The relationship and the ambiguity in it is basically the focus of the show though. So if you’re saying “well it will never be a reciprocated attraction” takes away half the tension of the show

Hmm. I'm either tired or they just kept mentioning buzzwords without really saying anything over and over again. It's weird that she'd talk about their relationship not being the focus of the show. Their relationship is THE focus of the show, I thought. What the what.
