I really have to say I disagree. I do /not/ like kids, and those types of stories all run along the same string. It's either a parent overcoming some fault and are instantly forgiven, or the child has to realize they should turn to their family for their problems. Other wise it's just boring domestic 'what a perfect family they are' type of deal, and I just can't get interested.
I'm bitter mostly because I absolutely cannot stand when things pretend that family is only be blood, and that everyone apparently deserves to be forgiven solely because they share DNA.
